Unbelievable

Wow! My school -
Our staff had a pot luck dinner for me two weeks ago and I received a lovely book for memories. Friday morning was a heartwarming assembly with every child sharing poetry and telling me goodbye. then last night...

On Mother's Day our girls gave me tickets to a dinner theatre at Nazareth Hall with professionally printed tickets. So we go last night.

A couple parents had made suspicious comments to me about not coming on Friday but I decided they meant the assembly. We arrive at Nazareth Hall though and I see Anna's car; Jess' car; Sue's car and then Emily's car and Emily - Bowers that is. I tell Mark "I'm right" since I had mentioned that maybe something was cooking....

I go in and there is a huge, frosted pink tower and Pam waiting to greet me. I walk in the room and WOW - a surpise!!! retirement party. With children who are adults and former parents and board members and current families and incredible hors d'oevres and cake...and lovely funny speeches.

Get this all you who know him: Mark goes to the mike and says he loves the cinnamon bread and he won't miss it (many had said they would) and that he had the privledge of having me for the rest of his life!!! What a sweet thing to say!

So they ask Mark and I to come up and receive my gift. So I open the box and glance at the top...and it says:

"AUSTRALIA" AND I MURMER "AUSTRALIA, ARE YOU SENDING US TO AUSTRALIA? and the answer is YES!

Like I started UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Gone: The weight of the world

Amazing - I have resigned and am retiring 25 years after founding the Montessori School of BG!

...and somehow the weight of the world is off my shoulders. That must be what it is, because a week after I resigned I went to Wren for a massage and the knots in my shoulder blades - were gone! Wow.

Thanks God for your peace. Mom has moved in, things are going well and I am looking forward to rest.
