1 cm!

That's the update! So we wait...today the Dad is 30! and was hoping to unwrap his daughter today, but I am starting to seriously doubt that as it is 2 pm right now... Please also pray that she doesn't arrive on Sunday...it would be so hard on her to have an April 1 birthday! :)

FYI E (the male) in Dayton is having shoulder surgery - outpatient - on Monday....pray for his speedy recovery as he figures out how to prepare to be a doctor using his left hand for a month!!!

Pray for E

Pray for E - his third quarter of med school ends today and he's taking two finals - written and practical - on cells, organs and systems!!!

A and J are back up in the air with their daughter's name. I think they will be waiting til she is born to finalize it now!

I'm closing on my first house sale tomorrow and am working with several more buyers and a couple sellers. Spring has sprung in the real estate market that is for sure!

Enjoy the snow!

Full term has arrived....

baby
Your baby is now considered full term even though the 40-week mark is still 3 weeks away. She is probably about 6.5 pounds and measures approximately 21 inches in length, and has developed enough coordination so that she can grasp an object with her fingers.

And from another site:
  • She is official full term now but can still benefit from extra days in the womb.
  • Your baby continues to practice breathing movements. Isn't it amazing how she can breathe "under water?"
  • Grasp is firm now. It won't be long until you'll feel that strong little fist confidently grasping your finger (or tightly clenching your hair)!
  • A few weeks ago, your baby would move her eyes toward light. Now she turns towards light outside the uterus.
  • " As the uterine wall stretches and thins allowing more light to permeate, she develops definite daily activity cycles. You will want to be sure to establish good patterns yourself at this time, thus encouraging them in your child. Ever heard of a baby getting his days/nights mixed up? Now's the time to try to avoid that!

  • A, J and I are still working on the nursery and E has a final in med school on Thursday so we hope she waits about another week or two....

E is here and she and I (and M.C.) are getting ready for the big shower today. We invited the whole church and some other family members and we are excited.

E has a friend that does scrap-booking and we are going to be creating a wonderful baby book for:.....Aidan Marie W!!!

She will be here in just a couple more weeks now - she has dropped down into position and is good to go!

The nursery is almost ready and will be more so after this weekend!

Childbirth, breastfeeeding, and child care classes are now over, and weekly DR visits have begun. Our granddaughter is about 6 pounds now!

Any of you out there who read this and want to attend the shower - please consider yourselves invited!
