Thursday was some day!
Soon after my last post, I discovered my kitty Peaches had died in the early morning hours. She was in our basement. She has been blind for about 6 months and failing, but it still seemed a bit sudden! She was 14 1/4 years old.
Later in the day Tim and Tricia gave birth to Pierce - he was about a week and a half late but I asked you all to pray for her and she gave birth that day instead of having to go in and be induced on Sunday - that's wonderful news. They are happy and healthy and "having a blast" according to Tim!
Friday we drove down to see E and E in Dayton. We left Mom here in the care of/being held together by! "Paper Clips and Rubber Bands"! I am thankful that she makes herself available to my mom when M and I need her - You're a big blessing to me E!!!
We found a new kitten in Dayton and bought her. We had an interesting night trying to sleep then at E and E's as she wanted to romp around the room every half hour. Then she would "cat nap" which is really a short nap when you're in a room with a kitten - and romp again! We named her God's Grace and are calling her Gracie. She is very cute - a lilac point himalayan - kind of soft gray. We are happy that she is different from Muffin - the seal point (brown) we had for 18 years and from Peaches who was flame point. She is herself!
Thanks E and E for a wonderful anniversary weekend and thanks A for driving down with us. M and I have been married now for 33 years - seems like about 10 to me! hmmm.

The nursery is ready!
Hello blogworld...
Baby Development
Your baby weighs approximately 2.4 pounds and is about 10 inches from crown to rump, or a little under 16 inches from head to toe. She has been gaining weight steadily during the past 27 weeks as her stem cells develop into organs, blood and immune systems, and bones. However, from this point forward, your baby's weight gain will be due to increasing amounts of body fat. A quick way to predict your baby's birth weight is to average your partner’s and your birth weights. We're guessing this will mean about 7 1/2 pounds....This means she is gaining about 1/2 pound a week from here on in - wow!
Are you all praying for Tricia Isham? she is now a week overdue and scheduled for induction on Sunday....
This is from the other site I'm readng:
Week Twenty-Nine
* Your baby's head is in proportion with body now. She appears more like a newborn each and every day!
* Fat continues to accumulate under the skin -- only now preparing for entering the *real world*.
* Your baby's brain can control primitive breathing and body temperatures.
* Her eyes can move in their sockets. Soon she will be able to follow a blinking light.
* Your baby is increasingly sensitive to changes in light, sound, taste, and smell! Various studies show that your baby may indicate preferences (or disdain) for particular tastes or odors at this stage
* She is also moving from side to side, but probably still is head up. In the next few weeks, she will move to the head down birthing position. At times you may feel as if she is performing somersaults for a circus act!
* Her length is now approximately 15.2 inches (38.6cm) and weight is 2.54 pounds (1153gm)
A cannot wait for her daughter to flip over into that birthing position as baby's head and A's rib are having a constant bruising battle! She prefers A's right side and when A leans back you can see her!
The nursery is gorgeous! Grandpa and J painted the room light but bright lemon yellow, and the walls are striped under the chair rail that Grandpa M put in - in dark and light green, the lemon and cream. The ceiling and the chairrails are both cream.
They have new black nursery furniture: a dresser with space for hanging baby clothes, the crib, changing table, and a glider with a footstool for mom (and all the rest of us!).
