My legacy: The Montessori School of BG!
It's been a year since I announced my retirement. Will my heart retire soon? That's my prayer! I am still grieving over students that I've learned aren't returning/enrolling in the fall - always the MOST painful part of my working life! and a major part of my decision to finally retire! And I'm not even at school and I still feel incredible grief!
BUT, enrollment sounds like it is at a healthy pace for fall. I have absolute trust in the love/faith/teaching of the teachers I worked with, and know that the school will continue to shine His light where needed. My call was to be a Christian around many who are/were not... and to do my best to make a difference for those who need to see. That is continuing and for that I am thankful.
I will get past the pain and I am thankful to leave a beacon in BG - the very best educational opportunity for children during the critical ages of 3-14. I am still seeking what I will be doing next...and caring for my mom...and loving those in my path. For now, that is my call.
Silvia is home in Paraguay and we will miss her. E is interviewing and has a second interview coming up in a very selective school district! A observied in and was offered a job if she ever wants it in another town! M is surviving the spring with his seniors and Mom is a well as ever. My new sons - are as much fun and joy as ever. Life is good.
